It obvious the development team took a leaf from Jurassic World Evolution’s book, which is only a good thing, as kicking back and building a park from your sofa is as precise as you’d probably have hoped. The button mappings to navigate menus, build roller coasters, and move around in 3D space (sometimes all at the same time) is nothing short of sublime.Īs much as they are a little finicky to get your head around and master, once you’ve got the basics under control (definitely play the tutorial level - that I’ll get to), you’ll be breezing about your park, building attractions and placing flamboyant toilet buildings like a pro. This next-generation theme park simulation and building game includes fan-favorite features and incredible new advancements such as stunning 3D environments full of roller coaster thrills, exciting flat rides, eager guests, user-generated content, robust. Studio head David Braben put it simply: It comes with too much baggage. RollerCoaster Tycoon World is the newest installment in the legendary RCT franchise. Frontier called it Coaster Park Tycoon until a frank re-assessment of the subgenre changed course. However, Frontier have done what many might see as impossible: have every ounce of control available in the original Planet Coaster easily accessible with a controller. The lineage was supposed to be a lot clearer. Transitioning between around 100 individual keys to something with only a handful of buttons at its disposal was no easy feat. Ups 6 - The Controls Are Excellent Frontier Developments With 500+ hours in the original PC release of Planet Coaster, who better than to put their muscle memory to the test with a whole new Planet Coaster experience? Please keep arms and legs inside the car at all times, and hold on tight. It must have been no easy feat to translate such a complex PC title to console, but Frontier have struck gold with the Planet franchise once again. Come 2020, the means of creating your very own theme park has made its way to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S via Planet Coaster: Console Edition, a marvellous port of the original PC title, ready and waiting to be tackled with a controller. I literally know everything about RCT3, like if you click Shift+L you will get light under your mouse (just a little thing :D).Four years later, Planet Coaster has continued to be a much loved park sim, with its own sister title Planet Zoo releasing late last year. Doesn't have all of the newer types of rides.Īlso i didn't find a lot of 'good' things in PC, cause i am bored to play it. You can place water and do waterfalls, also you can edit terrain (haven't tested with PC) You can do your own scenario with like 5 times bigger map than PC. More ''Money'' styled game (you have to do money to survive :D, ofc not a lot of difference to gameplay) You can create your own family and look what they are doing all the time I like both games for different reasons.Įven this is 4 year old i want to reply :) (if you don't mind) Overall PC is the better park builder but RCT3 has the better campaign experience and has PC beat on official content (although there's a lot of workshop content for PC). I recommend both (I don't think there's a bad one to pick and ultimately it'll come down to user preference).
